Installing IRCmagic

Download the IRCmagic Package

Download the IRCmagic package by clicking here. The installer is provided as a BinHex encoded StuffIt archive. When the download is complete, the file should appear on your desktop (or in the standard download location on your system):

Unstuff the Archive

Unstuff and decode the archive by dragging the archive file over StuffIt Expander. The archive will be decompressed to create an installer application named "IRCmagic Installer."

Note: Depending on your browser configuration, your browser may automaticaly launch Stuffit Expander when the download completes. If this is the case, the "IRCmagic Installer" file will already be created.

When the file is decompressed and unstuffed it should have an icon like this:

Run the Installer

Double-click the "IRCmagic Installer" icon to start the installer. The installer displays a splash screen:

Click on the dialog to dismiss it. Next, the installer displays the IRCmagic "ReadMe" file:

Be sure to read this file before continuing. It contains information about the IRCmagic package, and sometimes contains important news about IRCmagic.

Next, the installer displays the main installer window:

Click Install to begin installation. The installer will install scripting additions onto the current startup volume, and all other items into the Ircle "Scripts" folder. If you have multiple installations of Ircle, the installer will prompt you to select one for installation of IRCmagic.

The installer installs all required IRCmagic components. When installation is complete, the installer quits or asks you to restart the computer if necessary. The installer then opens the IRCmagic folder on your desktop:
