You can play sounds a number of different ways in Ircle. Probably the most common way is to use the Sound button on the Userlist floating window. When you click this button Ircle opens a file selection dialog box and allow you to choose a sound from your sounds folder. The file you choose is played to the nicknames you have selected in the Userlist window. If you do not have any nicknames selected, the sound is played to everyone in the current channel.
Another method of playing sounds is to add a sound shortcut to Ircle. A shortcut allows you to attach a command key to the function so that you can use the keyboard to play sounds. You can also put a button on your Userlist window that is mapped to a shortcut. This way, you could play a sound either by pressing keys on the keyboard, or by clicking the button on your Userlist window To add a shortcut for playing sounds choose one of the shortcut sets from the Shortcuts menu in Ircle. Then add a line that says:
/sound $channel\n
Whenever you type the corresponding command-key, or click the button assigned to that shortcut on the Userlist window, Ircle opens a file selection dialog box and allow you to choose a sound from your sounds folder. The sound is played to the entire channel. You may also want to replace $channel above with $selecteduser. This causes the sound to be played to the first nickname selected in the Userlist window instead of the current channel.
See the instructions that came with Ircle for more information on creating shortcuts and custom buttons in the Userlist window.
